ALBANY — The State Commission on Public Integrity today announced that Michael Israel, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Westchester County Health Care Corporation, has agreed to pay $3,000 to settle charges that he accepted more than $800 in gifts from Cardinal Health, Inc., a vendor doing business with the hospital.

The Commission had charged Mr. Israel with accepting lodging at the Millennium Broadway Hotel in New York City and limousine service from the hotel to a meeting. The lodging was valued at $421.85 and the transportation was valued at $410.48.

Under the law, State officers and employees generally may not accept gifts of more than “nominal” value.
