Barry Ginsberg Named General Counsel

Barry Ginsberg Named General Counsel

ALBANY - Herbert Teitelbaum, Executive Director of the New York State Commission on Public Integrity, announced that Barry Ginsberg has been named General Counsel for the Commission.

Mr. Ginsberg had been Assistant District Attorney in the office of Robert M. Morgenthau, serving as Senior Investigative Counsel in the Rackets Bureau; Chief of the Labor Racketeering Unit and in the Major Offense Career Criminal Program. He has also been a senior executive and counsel of several investigative and consulting services firms.

Mr. Teitelbaum said, We are fortunate to have a person with Barry's experience and commitment to public service join the talented staff currently working at the Commission.

Robert Morgenthau, the District Attorney for New York County, said, Barry Ginsberg is an outstanding lawyer and investigator, and a person of the highest integrity. He added that Mr. Ginsberg will be a great addition to the staff of the Commission on Public Integrity.

Mr. Ginsberg received his BA and JD from the State University of New York at Buffalo. As General Counsel, he will receive $140,00.
