Registration and Reporting - Section 5

In 2006 the lobbying threshold increased from $2,000 to $5,000. This amount includes all lobbying compensation and all reportable expenses.

The registration period is concurrent with the legislative session (biennial) i.e.(2009-2010), (2011-2012)

Lobbyist Reporting Requirements

Bimonthly Report

There is no minimum reporting threshold for compensation or expenses

Lobbyist Termination

Upon the termination of a lobbyist's retainer, employment or designation, the lobbyist and the client on whose behalf such service has been rendered shall both give written notice to the Commission within thirty days after the lobbyist ceases the activity that required such lobbyist to file a statement of registration; however, both lobbyist and client are still responsible for filing a bimonthly and client semi-annual reports up to the date the lobbying activity ceased.
